Membership Definitions
- Adult - Individual between the ages of 18 and 49
- Couple - Up to two individuals living in the same household.
- Family - Up to two adults and any of their dependent children living in the same household. Dependent children shall also include foreign exchange students and foster children living in the same household and children eighteen and over who are enrolled in high school or college, living in the same household, or if in college, who claim the household as their primary residence.
- Senior - Individual age 50 or above
- Senior Couple - Individual age 50 or above and one other person living in the same household
- Youth - Individual age 17 and under
- Non-Dependent - Non-Dependents living in the same household may be added to the Family, Couple, or Senior Couple membership at an additional fee of $5 per month, per person
A dependent is a qualifying person other than the taxpayer or their spouse who entitles a taxpayer to claim a dependency exemption on their tax return. Below are basic qualifications: person has to be part of your family, under the age of 19 or be a student younger than 27, claim permanent residency as household of the guardian, and can’t file a tax return for themselves.
