Passport Information
Passport Application Acceptance Service for new applicants is available in the City of Casa Grande Clerk's office Monday through Friday, 10 am - 3:30 pm, by appointment only.
Completed passport application packets are mailed from our office to the National Passport Center, which approves the application and creates and mails the passport book and/or card to the approved applicant.
Per the U.S. Department of State, USPS mail delays are impacting when passport applications are received for processing. Processing times begin the day your application is received by the U.S. Department of State, not the day it is mailed from the Acceptance Facility.
Current Processing Times (New Applicants & Renewals)
Routine Service
Processing time is 8 to 11 weeks from the day the U.S. Department of State receives the application. Return Mail time varies across the country, affecting the date the applicant receives the passport.
Expedited Service
For an additional $60, the processing time is 5 to 7 weeks from the day the U.S. Department of State receives the application. Return Mail time varies across the country, which may affect the date the applicant receives the passport.
Processing times begin the day the application is received at a passport agency or center, not on the day the customer applied for a passport at an acceptance facility. The U.S. Department of State no longer uses door-to-door timeframes to calculate the estimated routine and expedited service times. Mail times may vary across the country.
