CASA GRANDE ANIMAL CARE & ADOPTION CENTER ANNOUNCES COMMUNITY MURAL KICKOFF & FREE ADOPTION EVENT
Free Dog Adoptions • Affordable Pet Care • Local Art Celebration
CASA GRANDE, AZ – The Casa Grande Animal Care & Adoption Center is inviting the community to come out and celebrate the start of a brand-new mural being painted on the side of the Center! The Community Mural Kickoff & Adoption Event will take place on Saturday, October 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Casa Grande Animal Care & Adoption Center, located at 202 E. First Avenue.
This special day will combine art, community spirit, and the joy of pet adoption, all while promoting affordable pet care.

- AZ VET Mobile Unit Vaccine Clinic
“We’re so excited to bring the community together for this creative project,” said Cerise Shanafelt, Animal Control Supervisor. “The new mural will not only brighten our facility but also celebrate the bond between people, pets, and our community.”
The mural project showcases the Center’s continued commitment to compassionate care and the importance of animal adoption in Casa Grande. Local artist Anisa Burke will be onsite throughout the event, meeting visitors as she brings the mural to life. Guests are encouraged to stop by, ask questions about her artwork, and capture photos of the creative process.
Several animal rescue partners will join in the day’s activities, lending a hand with shelter dog spa treatments, dog walking, kennel cleaning, and donation drives. Participating organizations include Paw Posse, IncrediBull Stella / Stella’s Rescue Rehab, Aussie Pet Mobile, and Best Friends Rescue.
“Working alongside local rescue organizations allows us to expand our reach, provide more comprehensive care, and give every animal a better chance at finding a loving home. Together, we’re building a stronger network of compassion and support for animals in our community,” said Shanafelt.
