Collection Hours

Due to the large number of containers serviced everday, we cannot back track to pick up containers that are not put out by 6 a.m.
Please remember to take your container in the same day it is serviced.

Uncontained Trash

The City runs an uncontained trash route to pick up large items. Uncontained trash is picked up once every six weeks. If you have an alley, you are responsible for maintaining the alley up to the centerline free of litter and trash. View the schedule and map here.

 

 

Trash Containers not furnished by the City 2nd Container Option

The City does not service any containers that are not provided for by the city, but we offer an option to get another container at an additional $11.35 per month for servicing the container. Thank You!

Garbage Collection Helpful Hints

* Do place the trash container as close to the curb as possible, NOT on the sidewalk, with the handle of the container facing your house. 
* Do make sure there are no vehicles blocking your containers on your scheduled pick up days. 
* Do keep the lid on your container closed to reduce the smell and amount of flies. 
* Do save space by cutting up brush and other large items before placing them in the container.

* Do not overfill container with brush or other materials. The lid must be closed in order for your container to be serviced. 
* Do not place garbage on the ground around the container. All garbage must be containerized for pickup. 
* Do not put hot ashes, cinders, coals or any other burning materials in the container. 
* Do not put recycling bins next to the trash container.  
* Do not take container with you when you move. 
* Do not let children play inside or around the container or collection trucks. 
* Do not fill up your container with concrete, dirt or anything heavy or it will be too heavy for our trucks to pick-up.

Trash collection normally made on Monday is picked up on Tuesday.
Trash collection normally made on Tuesday is picked up on Wednesday.
 
Recycling collection normally made on Monday is picked up on Tuesday
along with the normal Tuesday pickup.
 
If the holiday is on Tuesday:
 
Trash collection normally made on Tuesday is picked up on Wednesday.
Recycling collection normally made on Tuesday is picked up on Wednesday.
