Cottonwood Lane Project Cottonwood Lane Project

As part of the Cottonwood Lane Improvements Project, the following construction information is provided:
 

  • Cottonwood Lane is an active construction zone with a designated speed limit of 25 mph.  These speeds are for the safety of travelers and construction crews, and are being enforced by City of Casa Grande Police.  Please drive with caution when driving in the construction zone.
  • Traffic on Cottonwood Lane continues to be routed to the north side of the median island from Pueblo to Wildflower in order for crews to work on the south side of Cottonwood Lane.  Those traveling to Grace Baptist Church (1319 E Cottonwood Lane) can only enter from the west (eastbound) and will have a specific entry point with designated signs indicating “Church Access Only”.  When exiting Grace Baptist Church, traffic will only be permitted to turn right (eastbound) and will be routed to turn right onto Colorado as well.  This traffic restriction is necessary to perform work on the south side of Cottonwood Lane directly in front of the church.
  • Crews are currently working south of Cottonwood Lane on Peart Road, both sides of the road, for installation of the new curb, gutter, and paving of the roadway.  Paving for Peart Road, just south of Cottonwood Lane is tentatively scheduled for this Wednesday, November 4th; and tentatively scheduled for Thursday, November 5th, traffic will be moved to the outside lanes onto the new pavement.  Work will then begin on the median islands (in the center of Peart Road) north and south of Cottonwood Lane. 
  • The improvements to Cottonwood Lane extend from Trekell Road to east of Henness Road and includes grading, paving, landscaping, street lighting, and the addition of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and drainage facilities. The contractor has set up a website for ongoing updates.
