Casa Grande Roundabout Helpful Information Casa Grande Roundabout Helpful Information

The City of Casa Grande built the first roundabout in 2007 at the intersection of Jimmie Kerr Blvd, 2nd Street, Doan St and Main St. It was part of the downtown traffic redevelopment project. Three more followed in various subdivisions around the city.

The roundabout is yield controlled, traffic flows with fewer stops and air quality also benefits when motorized traffic is kept in motion. As safety and environmental advantages become recognized, roundabouts will be adopted by transportation professionals just like other technological advances. Today, the number of modern roundabouts in the USA has jumped to around 2,000 (as of January 2009).

Casa Grande is the only city in Pinal County with roundabouts.
