THE PROSECUTOR'S ROLE The City Prosecutor is responsible for prosecuting those individuals who have been charged with committing misdemeanor crimes within the city limits of Casa Grande. The City Prosecutor represents the interests of the State in the charges against the Defendant. The prosecutor decides whether charges will be filed, prosecuted or dismissed, but will consider the victim’s input in making those decisions. You have the right to discuss your case and a possible plea agreement with the prosecutor. When preparing a plea agreement, the prosecutor will take your input and concerns into consideration, along with the circumstances of the case, the law and polices of the Prosecutor’s Office. To discuss your case with a prosecutor, you may contact the City Prosecutor’s Office at least five working days before the defendants’ scheduled court date by calling (520) 421-8600.
