Patrol Patrol

Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is currently under the command of Cmdr. Kent Horn. The Patrol Division is responsible for the police response to calls for assistance and pro-active enforcement of state and city statutes 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The Patrol Division is comprised of 5 patrol teams. Each team is staffed with a Sergeant, a Police Corporal and Police Officers.. A civilian Police Service Specialist is assigned to each patrol team to perform duties such as prisoner processing, not requiring a sworn Officer.

The City of Casa Grande is divided into 4 patrol districts and each Patrol Officer is assigned to a particular district. The districts are Adam, Baker, Charlie, and David. There is also a Robert unit that fills in as Officers become busy in any of the assigned districts. This allows each Patrol Officer to become familiar with their assigned district, build relationships with the citizens of that district, and work pro-actively to solve problems within their district. Patrol Officers for each district confer on a regular basis to identify problems within their district and develop/implement solutions for those problems. The Patrol Division also maintains some special programs such as the Field Training Program, Bicycle Patrol, ATV Patrol and two K9 units.
