GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Len Colla Recreation Center is a multi-purpose recreation center located at 1105 E. Fourth Street. The LCRC features a full size gymnasium, multi-purpose/game room, computer lab/meeting room and arts and crafts room.

The LCRC will be closed in recognition of the following holidays observed by the city of Casa Grande: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day

RECREATION CENTER POLICIES:

  • Shoes with non-marking soles will be required in the gymnasium.
  • Management reserves the right to use discretion on acceptable attire; shirt and shoes are required.
  • Food and drink in authorized areas only.
  • The Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Failure to conduct appropriate conduct while in the Center may result in being asked to leave.
  • This is a drug, alcohol and tobacco free facility.
  • Use of facility, activities, programs and equipment are at your own risk.
  • Weapons are prohibited.
  • Center employees have final authority in all matters.

Monday - Friday 3:00-6:00 pm; Saturday 1:00-5:00 pm;
Elementary School Early Release Days 1:00-5:00 pm;

Teen Activities (Ages 12-17)

TEEN NIGHTS AT THE LEN COLLA RECREATION CENTER!

7:00-10:00 pm - Contact the Center for the Current Schedule

Play basketball, volleyball, pickleball or other games in the gym. Board games, video games and other games will also be available. Participants will be required to show a school ID for entry. Prizes provided for tournament winners!


TEEN COUNCIL

Teens ages 12-17 are invited to join the Teen Council held at the Len Colla Recreation Center. Teen Council representatives work together to actively plan drug free cultural, social, outdoor, intramural & fundraising programs. Other volunteer opportunities may also be available. Monthly meetings will be held each month.  If you are interested, please contact Shayla Gunn or Rick Cardenas at the Len Colla Recreation Center.

Adult Sports at Len Colla Recreation Center

BASKETBALL OPEN GYM
Wednesday 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Come and enjoy open shooting or self-refereed pick-up games. Full or ½ court play will depend on interest; majority rules. Cost for Open Gym is $2.00 per visit.

Co-Ed VOLLEYBALL OPEN GYM
Thursday 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Join us on Tuesday nights. Teams will be made based on the number of players. Cost for Open Gym is $2.00 per visit.

FITNESS FOR FUN OPEN GYM
Wednesday 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Come and enjoy Pickleball, Basketball pick up game (depending on interest & court availability), practice shooting or enjoy walking (laps) inside our new gymnasium. Limited fitness equipment will also be available. Pool table & Ping Pong table are also available for use. Cost is $2.00 per visit.

PICKLEBALL OPEN GYM
Friday 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Please join us for drop-in play. Teams will be made based on the number of players. Cost is $2.00 per visit.

After School Kids Club at Len Colla Recreation Center After School Kids Club at Len Colla Recreation Center

AFTER SCHOOL KIDS CLUB (A.S.K.C.)
The ASKC is a FREE supervised program for school age youth ages 5-17. Activities include: homework help, arts and crafts, sports including a variety of gym activities, computer lab, educational programs, video games, pool table, ping pong, foosball, dance programs and more! Healthy food demonstrations will also be held weekly and prepared by Center staff. Youth will be required to provide a school ID or something equivalent when checking out Center equipment, i.e. balls, jump ropes, hoola hoops, etc.

ASKC HOMEWORK HOUR
Monday through Thursday, from 3:00-4:00 pm, staff and volunteers will be available to assist with school homework. Youth will be encouraged to participate in reading, educational computer games or class projects during this time.

HOMEWORK & HELP CHART
As an incentive to participate in the Homework Hour OR to assist with various tasks around the LCRC, staff have created The Homework & Help Chart. Youth who complete their homework during the homework hour or complete another assignment given by staff earn points towards prizes in our Treasure Chest of Mystery. Children can also earn points by lending an extra hand to the staff when it is needed. At the end of the year, a pizza and ice cream party will be held for those children who complete the Homework & Help Chart.
