City Manager's Message

It’s always a pleasure to find that all the hard work and dedication of our Mayor and City Council as well as our city staff has turned challenges into opportunities. We are also fortunate to have community involvement in all facets of the city’s continuous efforts to make Casa Grande the place to be. Sitting between the two largest metropolitan areas in Arizona, Phoenix and Tucson, affords many opportunities for Casa Grande.

As a city, we have been able to attract new industry and jobs not only because of our proximity to viable markets, but because of the varied and talented workforce we have living within our boundaries. As the economy grows, we are confident our economic development efforts will be rewarded. Growth not only in the labor force is a goal, but having the ability to provide recreational and quality of life amenities are two other important visions we have for Casa Grande.

The recent rehabilitation of our downtown, including sidewalks, streets, infrastructure and landscaping is just one of the projects we continue to work on that will provide a much needed revitalization. Keeping our downtown vibrant will help our smaller businesses thrive and provide a variety of offerings to our residents. The area provides a perfect venue for outdoor activities from band concerts to art walks and street fairs and car shows. All are annual events that enrich our lives here in Casa Grande.

The renovation work at both our former Police Department headquarters and our downtown library will provide a source of pride for all of us. The library is being remodeled to accommodate the many users it has every day. Upgrades to not only the structure, but to what is offered are exciting to us as well as patrons. Renovating the old Police Station will provide an area for our communications center to perform at top level. It will also provide a police presence in a neighborhood setting.

Casa Grande is a progressive city looking forward to the future. It is a vibrant city that is continuing on its path to becoming the place to be!
