JULY 13, 2010

MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CASA GRANDE CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL ADVISORY COMMITEE
HELD TUESDAY, JULY 13, 2010 AT THE
PARKS & RECREATION OFFICE

Meeting called to order 1:18 PM by Chairperson Roxy Perry

City Representatives Present
Chad Price, Community Services Dept.
Tiffany Asbury, Sanitation Dept.
Sheila Chavez, Police Dept.

Approval of Minutes
Brian Finucane moved to approve the minutes from our May meeting, Lana Fiems seconded, motion carried.

Checking Account Report
Chad Price reported that our Checking account balance is $941.32

Design-A-Calendar Contest
Chad Price reported that 12 calendar contest winners were chosen. Nine of the contest winners were presented with T-shirts and laminated copies of their posters at Cholla school May 25th. Chad Price, Lana Fiems, and Doria Garza attended. Doria Garza donated the T-shirts – A Big Thank You To Doria!!

The printer needs calendar information in August in order to have Calendars ready in October. Jan Hobbs, Chad Price, and Tiffany Ashbury will me with the printer on July 30th, at 1:00 PM. We will need list of 2011 events to be included in the calendars.

We will distribute calendars at all community events. If there are calendars remaining in January, Friends of Library will distribute them at Book Sale and will include a donation in their bag price to come back to KAB.

Member Jan Hobbs is working on securing advertising sponsors.

Fall City Wide Cleanup
The Fall City Wide Clean Up is scheduled for Saturday October 16th.

Softball Tournament
The 3rd Annual KAB City Championship is scheduled for Saturday September 18th.
We will need to begin seeking donations of food and supplies.

CALL TO THE COMMITTEE
Tiffany Ashbury read a letter in which Nan Barlow requested info on community projects that her community can help with.

There being no further business, Chair Roxie Perry called the meeting adjourned at 1:58 p.m.
