SPECIAL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
FRIDAY FAMILY NIGHTS
Every Friday evening from June 6-August 1 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Mom, dad and the kids can all have a swimmin’ good time for $3 (up to four
members, each additional member pays 75¢). Children must be accompanied by an adult. 2 FOR 1 THURSDAYS
Every Thursday from July 10-July 31 is 2 for 1 day. For each paid admission, one gets in free from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Bring a friend to the aquatics

Palm Island will be open from 6:00-7:00 a.m. and 12:00-1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 2-August 1 (except for 4th of July). This is a
great time for lap swimming with other adults who enjoy swimming. The aquatic staff will designate a lane for lap swimmers. The fee is $1 at the
door. Don’t carry cash? Purchase a punch card from the Parks and Recreation office or Palm Island Family Aquatics Park for $20 (22 swims, you
get 2 free swims). LAP SWIM TIME

Free swims). OPEN SWIM GROUP RATE
Groups of 10 and more are eligible for a group rate during all scheduled open swim times. (Refer to schedule.) Group use must be approved
and scheduled in advance. The discounted rate will be 75 cents for youth ages 17 and under and $1.25 for adults, Monday through Friday only.
Please call the Parks and Recreation Department at least seven days in advance in order to receive discounted group rates. NOTE: Please be aware that when bringing a group of children, the ratio of adults to children is as follows:

1 ADULT TO EVERY 5-10 SWIMMERS

THERAPEUTIC AQUA EXERCISE
This class is designed for physically disabled teens and adults who may have limited ranges of movement. The program will help increase cardiovascular circulation and the quality of life. It will provide participants with the opportunity to receive basic swimming skills with less stress on the knees, ankles and legs. Each session will consist of a warm up, strengthening, breathing exercises and cool down. All activities are done in the water, so be sure to wear your swimsuit and bring a towel.

POOL RENTAL
Palm Island Family Aquatics Park is available on select Friday and Saturday evenings for private rental to groups, businesses or non-profit agencies. The private rental fee is $250 and this covers the cost of staff and admission for a two-hour period. Local groups may reserve Palm Island Family Aquatics Park beginning May 1 by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department at least 14 days prior to date of use. A $50 reservation fee is required three business days following your reservation request. Final payment of $200 must be made at least 14 days in advance of rental day. BIRTHDAY PARTY AT THE ISLAND
Celebrate your birthday at Palm Island Family Aquatics Park for $5 per person.
Looking for that special summer birthday party place? The Parks and Recreation Division and Pizza Hut are teaming up to bring you birthday party packages at the Island. Packages include admission and pizza for groups of 5 to 15 and a birthday t-shirt for the birthday boy or girl. Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance.
