About CG Mountain Trails Project
Biking and walking trails are the most important recreational opportunities needed in Casa Grande, according to respondents in a survey conducted as a part of the 2007 City of Casa Grande, Community Services Master Plan. In support of multiple citizen requests, the Casa Grande Mountain Trails Steering Committee is ready to begin the construction process that will provide the first legal 10 miles of non-motorized, shared-use trails within the 1,025 acre Casa Grande Mountain Park. The Casa Grande Mountain Park Trails Construction Project began construction on April 10, 2010 and continues to grow!
The long-term goal on Casa Grande Mountain Park includes continuation of design and construction of trails finishing with a variety of choices including long or short loop trails, easy to challenging experiences, short and long range views, and views of the city and of the desert. The Casa Grande Mountain Park Trail System promises to be a spectacular local and regional attraction for trail enthusiasts, wildlife watchers, and those looking for a natural respite from the City’s growing urban environment.
